Pay Yourself 1st

How many times have I heard this? Probably a million times. A while back I started an automatic deduction from my paycheck to go straight into my ING Savings account. I set the amount very low, $12.50 per paycheck to be exact, I get paid weekly so it's $50 a month. Then on top of that I'll add some extra money in there every now and then. I haven't been adding lately, but I was surprised to see that the amount has increased pretty steadily. Imagine if I would have alloted more money! But the bottomline is that it's true... You always always always have to pay yourself first, otherwise you won't save.
