No Money Left Over

This past week was a rough one. I paid all my bills and had 0.11 cents left in my checking account. The problem was that I took a lot of days off from work in order to get myself all set for final exams. I had no gas money, no spending money, no nothing. I was trying to just stick it out until this Thursday. In order to do this, I would have had to limit my driving and eat food from home. I was not able to survive. Saturday I ended up taking $60 out of my other account. I used some for gas and the rest for food and snacks. I spent Saturday with my boyfriend and he ended up spending $100 also on gas and food and snacks. So together we spent $160 ... That is crazy. In one day we spent $160 and we have nothing to show for it. We really need to get a better handle on our finances, especially if one day (way down the road) we'll be married and living together. Anyway, that's a whole other story.

Tomorrow I start tracking every single penny spent... this should be interesting.
