DIY! & SAVE!

I am on a mission to learn how to do things myself. I am prety crafty as it is and I'm kind of good at putting things together, following directions, etc. So I figure that if I learn how to do more things myself I can save money. For example, my dog really needs to go to the groomers, but I plan on washing him and cutting his hair myself. So instead of paying 50-75 dollars I won't have to spend that and I can use it for something else. Also, I need an oil change, instead of paying 20-30 dollars I am going to ask a friend of mine to show me how to do it myself. From now on I am going to consider if what I am about to pay for can be done my me instead for free.

To be honest with the oil change I suggest leaving it to the professionals or at least the experienced. I mean especially if u have a car thats over a V6. I have learned to utlize coupons for my oil change. 5 quarts are going to run you like 15-20 so why not find a coupon for someone who will do it for the same price. Or least a homeboy or uncle or something who does that type of thing on the regular. If u mess up and get that oil in your hair.. I believe u will NOT be a happy camper.
